Rhinorecruitment.com are looking for a highly skilled QC/Welding Inspector with expertise in shipyard and pressure vessels inspection.

Position Overview:

As a QC/Welding Inspector, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and integrity of welding processes, materials, and structures within our shipyard and pressure vessels projects. You will be responsible for conducting inspections, tests, and assessments to guarantee compliance with industry standards, codes, and project specifications.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform visual and non-destructive examinations of welds on shipyard and pressure vessels.
  • Conduct inspections at various stages of fabrication, installation, and commissioning processes.
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure adherence to quality control procedures and specifications.
  • Review and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and welding procedures.
  • Identify and report non-compliance issues and recommend corrective actions.
  • Maintain accurate inspection records and documentation.
  • Interface with third-party inspection agencies and clients during audits and inspections.

Requirements:

  • CSWIP 3.1 or PCN VT Level 2 inspector qualification
  • Shipyard or site experience is a must, familiar with steel, pipe and pressure vessels inspection.
  • Technical drawings reading skills.
  • Capable of creating reports for inspection done.
  • History or proven experience of experience as a QC/Welding Inspector in shipyard and pressure vessels projects.
  • In-depth knowledge of relevant industry standards, codes, and regulations.
  • Proficiency in performing visual and non-destructive testing (NDT) techniques.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Familiarity with quality management systems and documentation.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to ensuring the highest quality standards.
