Electrical/mechanical Maintenance Technician

Continental shifts 38 hours per week
£41,380 per annum (£15.51 hourly plus 28.27% shift allowance)
Loads of Overtime available at a premium
Main Duties: Health & Safety
- Writing and Assessment of Safe Working Procedures & Risk Assessments
- Monitoring and auditing of contractors in respect to their safety performance
- Ensuring that all contractors under their control are inducted to site, follow written instructions and carry out their work safely
- Issuing and control of Permits to Work
- Correct use of and auditing of PPE at all times
- Ensuring that departmental housekeeping is maintained to the highest standards at all times
- To set the example for others to follow
Main Duties: Engineering
- Continuous improvement of plant and procedures
- To report to the Maintenance Manager/deputy manager
- To complete all the necessary paperwork relating to the maintenance remit
- Operation of Planned Preventative Maintenance System (Limble)
- Analysis of downtime
- Problem solving / troubleshooting
- Continuous improvement of plant and procedures
